Owners of a Hoboken parking lot condemned for use as a park stand to lose $7.2 million thanks to a judge’s ruling on the proper date of valuation for purposes of eminent domain.
The judge held that the market value should have been fixed when the city actually filed its complaint, not when the council decided four years earlier that it would move to condemn.
