17 Months Too Long to Wait, Court Finds in Cahill
In a decision about the right to a speedy trial, the New Jersey Supreme Court said 17 months was too long for a man to wait to resolve tickets for driving drunk.The unanimous decision upholding the state Appellate Division, marked a win for the New Jersey State Bar Association which argued the delay was unreasonable.
