The family of three people killed in a knife attack has run out of claims to pursue against 9-1-1 operators who failed to dispatch timely emergency aid, now that a state appeals court has upheld dismissal of charges of willful and wanton conduct.

The state Supreme Court previously held the two operators statutorily immune from negligence claims in Wilson v. Jersey City, A-61/62-10, but remanded for a determination on whether their conduct reached the willful and wanton level of egregiousness.
