Settlers’ RemorseConnor, Weber & Oberlies of Philadelphia is being sued for malpractice, but at least it has the forum of its choice. U.S. District Judge Robert Kugler in Camden shipped the case to federal court in Philadelphia on Wednesday at the 14-lawyer firm’s request.

In 2004, Hanover Insurance called in partner Joseph Oberlies to defend NMD Marketing, an Emerson, N.J., mail order diet pill seller, against a trademark infringement claim by a California competitor. The insurer warned in a reservation-of-rights letter, though, that policy exclusions could at some point lead to a denial of coverage.
