Ralph Marra Jr. will be acting head of the United States Attorney’s Office in New Jersey until a successor is appointed, it was announced on Monday.

U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey designated Marra on the recommendation of outgoing U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie, who stepped down Monday after six years in the post, says office spokesman Michael Drewniak.
