Chief Justice Stuart Rabner signed an order yesterday removing Theresa A. Mullen—a former Superior Court judge—from judicial office and permanently barring her from ever holding judicial office in New Jersey over her behavior in a lawsuit and her petty disorderly conduct conviction for defiant trespass.

Mullen received numerous accolades during her legal career including being named a “Woman of Excellence” in Union County and serving as a Union County representative on the Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee and on the Union County Ethics Committee. She once served as president of the Arthur Vanderbilt Inns of Court, Richard Hughes Inns of Court, and as Union County Bar Association president.
