Declining public confidence in the courts is a problem that cannot be ignored. A coordinated response and action plan is necessary.

The 2022 State of the State Courts public opinion survey conducted by National Center for State Courts (NCSC), as well as other well-regarded surveys completed by University of Pennsylvania Annenberg Public Policy Center, Marquette Law School and the Siena-New York Times poll have all found an alarming decline in public confidence in the courts.
