Disciplinary action was entered against two veteran attorneys for ethics violations committed during the contentious dissolution of East Hanover-based McHugh & Macri, a law firm founded in 1979.

Donald M. McHugh and Vincent N. Macri, both members of the New Jersey bar since 1973, created their East Hanover firm by an agreement that stated the two would share all profits and losses equally. But by 2018, their relationship “irretrievably broke down,” according to the decision issued by the Disciplinary Review Board.
