A $1.125 million settlement was reached on July 26 in the Monmouth County suit DePinto v. Red Bank Recycling for a man stopped at a red light who was rear-ended by a commercial truck, resulting in neck and back injuries.

On Dec. 1, 2017, the 66-year-old plaintiff, Nicholas DePinto, was stopped on East Road in Middletown and was rear-ended by Richard Betts, a driver for Red Bank Recycling, the owner of the truck.
