Sills Cummis & Gross in Newark announced the addition of Ahmed J. Kassim, of counsel in the firm’s litigation department, Joshua J. Koodray, an associate in the real estate department, and Rachel N. Laurel, an associate in the employment and labor practice.

Kassim maintains a broad-based commercial litigation practice, representing clients in complex commercial litigation, including disputes involving construction contracts, commercial leases, and consumer class actions, the firm said. A former chemical engineer, Kassim works with multinational clients to navigate complex scientific and medical issues related to products liability matters. He also counsels public accommodation clients regarding website accessibility litigation under Title III of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.S. from the University of Rochester. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
