American Financial Group, a property and casualty insurance company, was slapped with a data breach class action Tuesday in New Jersey District Court over a Dec. 2021 breach impacting the personal information of thousands of consumers. The suit, brought by Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman, accuses defendants of failing to implement adequate data security measures. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:22-cv-01757, Micah v. American Financial Resources, Inc.
