A former Trump aide sued Verizon Wireless Friday in New Jersey District Court to block the release of his cellular records in response to a Congressional subpoena from the select committee investigating the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol. The lawsuit, brought by King Moench Hirniak & Collins and Graves Garrett LLC on behalf of Robert Peede, seeks an injunction prohibiting the defendants from producing the plaintiff’s cellular data and requests a declaration that the subpoena is invalid. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:22-cv-00611, Peede v. Cellco Partnership D/B/A Verizon Wireless.
