An electrical apprentice who suffered a complete spinal cord injury while working at the Prudential Center in Newark has reached a $21 million settlement with his employer.

Nicholas Dephillips, who was 21 at the time of the January 2019 accident, brought the lawsuit in Essex County against general contractor Phelps Construction Group, his employer Mehl Electric, and the arena.
