Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf and Tucker Ellis filed a trademark infringement lawsuit Monday in New Jersey District Court on behalf of the popular annual music festival Coachella and its producer Goldenvoice LLC. The complaint pursues claims against DJ Envy and DJ Envy Auto over their car-themed ‘Carchella’ events, asserting that the name and logo cause confusion in the marketplace. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-17624, Coachella Music Festival, LLC et al v. Casey et al.
