Professional development did not halt in the pandemic. Like everything else, it went virtual.

But not all programs are created equal. So-called “talking head” webinars bore participants to tears. Zoom fatigue has also taken its toll on participation. Still, firms found many upsides to virtual training, from increased participation among once-disparate offices to lower costs, according to two recently released reports on professional development.
