Thomas J. Cafferty has made a career of advocating for media rights, particularly as longtime general counsel to the New Jersey Press Association. It’s a role that has brought him before the New Jersey Supreme Court numerous times, and which has earned him a reputation for not only sustained excellence in legal practice, but an influencer in the advancement in media law. Cafferty launched the media law practice at Gibbons. Newspapers, Cafferty has said, have been a part of this life since he began delivering them at age 12 in New Brunswick.
