King & Spalding is facing more litigation alleging ethics issues over its representation of Chinese telecommunications company ZTE Corp. in a high-profile breach of contract case. FORM Holdings Corp. has sued the firm and two New York partners, Robert Perry and Paul Straus, in Manhattan Supreme Court, alleging a “chronic and extreme pattern” of attorney deceit.
FORM, a holding company, claims King & Spalding and the partners sought to conceal evidence and mislead parties and the court when defending ZTE in a 2014 federal lawsuit brought by FORM, Vringo v. ZTE, 14-cv-4988, in the Southern District of New York before Judge Lewis Kaplan. ZTE settled the case in December 2015 for $21.5 million.
