Get on with it: That’s the message Wollmuth Maher & Deutsch partner Ryan Kane had in a Tuesday filing in the Southern District opposing a pre-motion conference requested by Bank of New York Mellon Corp.’s legal team last week.

Kane’s client, Pacific Life Insurance Co., is one of the latest to file a residential mortgage-backed securities trustee suit, this one against BNYM over its alleged actions (or lack thereof) during the buildup to the housing crisis.
