A prison sentence for a man caught in 2009 with thousands of images of child pornography at the U.S. border with Canada while on a family vacation has been vacated by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

A divided court found the 18-year, nine-month sentence imposed on defendant Joseph Vincent Jenkins by Northern District Judge Glenn Suddaby was substantively unreasonable.
