The Brooklyn federal judge overseeing the prosecution of world soccer officials for alleged corruption and kickbacks has refused to throw out charges against a pair of South American FIFA officials.

Lawyers for Juan Angel Napout, a former FIFA vice president, and Jose Maria Marin, the former president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, had filed separate motions to dismiss ahead of a planned November trial.
