A Manhattan judge is standing behind a $385 million judgment against a controversial Russian businessman, saying new documents brought forth from government archives in Siberia aren’t enough to warrant wiping out the award, which has been affirmed on appeal.

“The records in issue … are records of a Russian bank that was closed in 2002, which have been stored in an archive in Siberia for more than a decade,” Commercial Division Justice Anil Singh wrote in a 25-page opinion.
