Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration is paying a former federal prosecutor up to $450,000 for an internal review of Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion, the economic development effort now under investigation by Southern District U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.

The figure is in a contract, released Friday, between the administration and Bart Schwartz, who once led the U.S. attorney’s criminal division in Manhattan and was retained in April after the existence of Bharara’s investigation became public.
