Second Circuit Senior Judge Chester Straub is closing his chambers and assuming inactive status, ending 18 years of hearing appeals in Lower Manhattan.
Straub, 79, was named to the bench by President Bill Clinton in 1998 on the recommendation of then-U.S. Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, D-NY.
