A criminal defense lawyer and his paralegal were convicted of bribery on Tuesday for paying a New York Criminal Justice Agency employee to send them potential clients who could afford to hire a private attorney.

Attorney Benjamin Yu, 37, and paralegal, Jose Nuñez, 49, were convicted of two counts of second-degree bribery, one count of fourth-degree conspiracy and 13 counts of second-degree rewarding official misconduct.
