Joseph L. Marino, developer of a bar examination prep service that he credited with helping thousands of people pass the New York bar after initial failures, died on April 14. He was 65.

Marino died at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from complications of colon cancer that he had been battling for about 18 months, his widow, Emily, said in an interview Tuesday.
