Liner LLP, a 75-attorney Los Angeles-based law firm, has opened a New York office with two former Dickstein Shapiro attorneys who represent policyholders in insurance recovery disputes.

Liner’s new Manhattan partners are Jeffrey Schulman and Mikaela Whitman, who both left Dickstein in 2015. Schulman, who was a solo practitioner after leaving Dickstein, joined Liner last week, while Whitman joined Liner last fall in Los Angeles and recently moved back to New York.
