Uber has dodged a legal move that would have coordinated more than a dozen lawsuits brought by its drivers over their employment status.
The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation last week decided against moving the cases into MDL and appeared persuaded by Uber’s arguments that classifications of independent contractors varied too much state-to-state to make coordination feasible.
