SNY, also known as SportsNet New York, has scored a 17-year lease with Silverstein Properties Inc. for 83,000 square feet at 4 World Trade Center. SNY, which is owned by Sterling Entertainment Enterprises LLC, Time Warner Cable and Comcast NBC Universal, plans to move its midtown Manhattan headquarters and studio downtown by the end of next year.

“This is a historic move, as 4 World Trade Center is the perfect home for SNY and Sterling,” said Fred Wilpon, chairman and co-founder of Sterling Equities, in a statement. Wilpon is also founder of SportsNet and majority owner of the New York Mets. “Downtown has undergone a total transformation, at the World Trade Center, and we’re excited to be involved,” he added.
