A police officer’s claim that he acted reasonably when he searched the wrong man because the man resembled a robbery suspect has been rejected by a federal appeals court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit upheld the suppression of 27 bags of crack cocaine and a gun as it turned aside the argument that Officer Christopher Vaccaro had conducted a reasonable search on the wrong man because the two men had similar skin color and facial features.
