A new trial should be held in a personal injury lawsuit to determine whether the owner and the driver of a taxi are liable for injuries to a passenger in another taxi, an appellate court ruled.

Plaintiff Fernanda DeSouza filed a complaint after being hurt on June 8, 2010 while allegedly riding in the back of a taxi that collided with another taxi at a red light on Broadway at its intersection with 64th Street.
