A village mayor in the Catskills has been removed by an appellate court under a legal challenge filed by a group of local citizens.
The Appellate Division, Third Department, panel found that Monticello mayor Gordon Jenkins’ actions rose to the “level of unscrupulous conduct or gross dereliction of duty or conduct.”
