As cases continue to pile up disputing insurance claim denials or alleged underpayments following Hurricane Sandy, federal judges pressed attorneys on both sides as to why so few cases were being resolved.

Eastern District Magistrate Judges Gary Brown (See Profile), Cheryl Pollak (See Profile) and Ramon Reyes Jr. (See Profile) had tough questions Tuesday for both sides and expressed frustration with the pace of dispositions. “The need to move cases along will be a common theme today,” Brown told more than 50 attorneys in attendance.
