Four partners have left Richards Kibbe & Orbe to expand the commercial lending and bankruptcy practices of Chicago-based Chapman and Cutler in New York.

Michael Friedman, Larry Halperin, Joon Hong and Nicholas Whitney began Monday at Chapman and Cutler, which opened its New York office in 2009 and now has 19 lawyers. The firm, with 225 attorneys firmwide, is ranked 147th in the Am Law 200, generating $178.5 million in gross revenue last year, according to American Lawyer.
