An attorney for a man convicted in a notorious Long Island sex abuse case angrily denied Friday an assertion by prosecutors that his client, Jesse Friedman, had been punished while in prison for writing "allegedly fictional accounts of bestiality, incest and child rape."

The statements, ascribed to prison disciplinary records, were contained in a report by the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, which concluded that Friedman had not been wrongfully convicted 25 years ago for the abuse of computer students at his Great Neck home (NYLJ, June 25). Friedman has maintained his innocence and has sued for documents from the office of District Attorney Kathleen Rice.
