The size of the state’s largest law firms has remained steady over the last year, while growth in several regional firms has been significant, according to an analysis of the number of attorneys in the 100 largest law firms in the state.

This year’s NYLJ 100 ranks law firms by their total number of full-time equivalent lawyers in all of a firm’s New York state offices in 2012, thus recognizing which firms are the state’s largest legal employers. In previous years, firms were ranked by the number of lawyers in their largest office within the state.
