The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society on New York Inc., the legal entity of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, has closed on the sale of the Hotel Bossert at 98 Montague St. in Brooklyn Heights. The 224-room hotel was purchased by affiliates of the Berkshire Capital and The Chetrit Group for $81 million.

“Some time ago, our organization began looking for ways to streamline our organization,” said Richard Devine, a spokesman for the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He said the hotel was once the residence for the religious group’s members who worked within its operations.
