The New York State Bar Association, the Office of Court Administration and the state Office for the Aging are collaborating to host a two-hour webinar today at 1 p.m. Participants will be given a self-assessment tool to gauge their and their family members’ readiness for old age. Chief Administrative Judge A. Gail Prudenti, state bar president Seymour James Jr. and Greg Olsen, the acting head of the Office for the Aging will speak at the event along with a panel of experts who will discuss various aspects of elder planning, including legal needs, government benefits and investment vehicles.

Robert Abrams of Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara & Einiger in Lake Success helped coordinate the event with Olsen and court officials. The webinar will be hosted at totalwebcasting.com. Registration is required before 1 p.m. The event, open to the public, will be held at Empire State Plaza, Albany, Room 6.
