Akerman Senterfitt is relocating and expanding its New York City office. The Miami-based law firm will be moving to 666 Fifth Ave., between 52nd and 53rd streets, from 335 Madison Ave., where it has been for about seven years.

Akerman has taken a 12-year lease for 48,000 square feet, nearly 8,000 square feet more than its existing location. It will occupy the 19th and 20th floors of the 41-story Fifth Avenue building, which was leased by Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe until 2010. Akerman’s lease also includes a 10-year renewal option.
