Dave Fields, a university dean who serves as special counsel to CUNY chancellor Matthew Goldstein, has announced he will leave City University of New York School of Law $1 million in his will. The funds are the largest bequest in the law school’s history. The money will be used equally to support student scholarships and faculty development, including conferences and training courses.

“Dave’s generosity through this gift will have an enormous impact on our ability to provide critical financial support to students and faculty alike,” said CUNY Law Dean Michelle J. Anderson in a statement. “He has been a champion of CUNY Law and our mission since it was established.”
