PEOPLE v. MAJESTIC COLLECTIBLES — On May 18, 2001 a Suffolk County Gand Jury filed Indictments 1112A-01 and 1112F-01 charging defendants Majestic Collectibles Inc. and Henry Adler with Enterprise Corruption in violation of Penal Law Section 460.20. Inclusive within Count One, were two hundred and ninety-five (295) “pattern acts” which were also charged as separate counts within the indictment.1 A jury trial commenced in the above matter on October 7, 2002. On October 29, 2002, over the objection of the People, the Court granted the joint application of the defendants declaring a mistrial pursuant to C.P.L. 280.10 and ordered that a new trial be scheduled. The Court further directed that the People duplicate and deliver to the defendants all of the Rosario material2 in their possession prior to the re-trial of this criminal action.
