A judge’s order has reunited a man with his bulldog, which had been put up for adoption by the man’s estranged wife allegedly without his knowledge. Neil Walash claims that Samantha Walash went behind his back and arranged for the adoption of Mo, a five-year-old English Bulldog in August 2010. Mo was adopted in February by Nikki Kilgour, who allegedly believed the sole owner was relinquishing the 85-pound blond and white pet. Mr. Walash filed a replevin action against Ms. Kilgour, who contended he had abandoned the dog (NYLJ, Sept. 26).

Supreme Court Justice Lawrence Ecker in Orange County (See Profile), who is also presiding over the Walashs’ pending divorce in Walash v. Kilgour, 5099-201, heard two days of testimony from Mr. Walash and Ms. Kilgour, and found on Nov. 17 that Mr. Walash had the superior right to Mo.
