Cases are won or lost based on investigations. Interviews—first with the client, and then with primary and secondary sources—determine the caliber of an investigation. As intelligence is collected, information coalesces in a narrative that is tested and refined as the investigation progresses. The aim is to empower the client at every step.

Gathering Information

The Client and the “Narrative.” The client is principal to any case. Investigations present an opportunity to solidify the attorney-client relationship in tandem with developing facts to leverage against the adversary. At times, no one knows more about the case than the client. Even where a client may not have the answers, there is still no better place to begin the search.
