A state appeals court has rejected a bid by a neighborhood group to block New York City’s plan to build a mid-sized trade facility and exhibition space along the Hudson River.

The city was challenged by the Hell’s Kitchen Neighborhood Association, which claimed the proposed 400,000-square-foot venue at Piers 92 and 94 would generate incessant traffic, noise and fumes that would significantly impair the public’s use and enjoyment of the adjacent Clinton Cove Park, a two-acre park from the Hudson to West Street, from 55th to 57th streets.
