A $29.4 million fee award won by two law firms who served as lead plaintiffs counsel in a California backdating securities class action has been reversed by a federal appeals court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit last week vacated a lower court ruling granting the fee award to Labaton Sucharow of New York and Glancy Binkow & Goldberg of Los Angeles.
