RYE BROOK, N.Y. – Assured of a place on the primary ballot, five Democratic candidates for attorney general scattered from their party’s convention yesterday, already seeking to accentuate their differences from their rivals.

Vying for the party’s nomination in the Sept. 14 primary will be Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice, state Senator Eric Schneiderman of Manhattan, Assemblyman Richard Brodsky of Westchester County, former Insurance Superintendent Eric Dinallo and securities class action attorney Sean Coffey.
