Medicaid Provider Compliance Programs Now Mandatory

Sable, an associate with the firm, write: In light of the new compliance program requirements under §521 of the Social Services regulations, the enforcement environment generated by the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General, and the significant penalties that can result from the failure to have an “effective” compliance program, it is critical that New York providers understand whether they are covered by §521, and if so, that they take the necessary steps to make certain that their compliance program meets the §521 requirements.
