A Lebanese-born Swede convicted of recruiting for Osama bin Laden and plotting to train al-Qaida fighters at an Oregon camp was sentenced to life in prison yesterday.

Oussama Kassir, 44, was convicted in May by a Southern District jury of conspiring and attempting to provide material support to terrorists and 10 other counts — a verdict that Judge John F. Keenan said he agreed with completely.
