U.S. District Judge Rachel Kovner of the Eastern District of New York has dismissed a proposed securities class action suit against QIWI, a digital payment and financial services company operating in Russia and several neighboring countries.
A proposed class led by Moset International Company filed a consolidated amended complaint against QIWI in July 2021, arguing that the company and its leaders had disseminated false statements about its financial condition and outlook amid a Russian central bank audit and a crackdown on e-wallets.
