From downstate New York into the Finger Lakes, a slate of seven contested races for district attorney offices in the Nov. 7 general election dot jurisdictions outside of New York City’s five boroughs.

In the Binghamton area, the race in Broome County pits longtime defense attorney F. Paul Battisti, who’s running on the Republican and Conservative Party lines, against former Binghamton Mayor Matthew T. Ryan, a Democrat and Working Families Party candidate.
