Monex Canada has filed a fraud lawsuit against various banks including Bank of America, alleging the Toronto-based financial institution was tricked into paying more than $3.5 million that was never reimbursed.

“Monex is the victim of a high-value fraud and commercial deception, pursuant to which it was deceived into making a series of payments” by Kirrill Kochkine, the complaint alleges.
